Recently I visited a place called Leamington Spa to play bowls for kent, I was in a team of 12 girls all under 31. The competition was called 'Amy Rose', its 2 rinks of 4 players on each playing against 4 people on each rink as well, we play a total of 21 ends and the team with the points (both rinks added together) wins, its also a knockout round so if you loose your automatically out the competition. In our first game against yorkshire we ended up winning with a incredible score of 42-27, we then were up against hampshire to then win with another incredible score of 46-27. We then got through to the semi finals which was the last 4, this game we were up against surrey, this was a real strong team but we ended up pulling through by just winning by 1 point with a score of 36-35, by this point we were over joyed with the fact we made it to the final, and put up a good fight against devon, but sadly lost to them by 5 with a score of 35-30. Kent done really well to get that far and coming 2nd out of 25 county's was really good!
